Following the release of Square Enix’s Deus Ex: Mankind Divided many players have been dealing with difficulties when running the game, including stuttering, freezing, crashing and other technical problems. However, the developers have finally released a patch in an effort to correct these issues, but gamers can expect more than just some minor changes.
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided’s latest patch includes support for DirectX 12, which can be added to your game by:
- In your Steam Library, select on Deus Ex: Mankind Divided by right-clicking.
- Select ‘properties’ from the menu and navigate to the Beta tab.
- Select dx12_preview from the dropdown menu.
Once the download is complete, players can toggle the use of DirectX 12 from the in-game options, or the game launcher. It should be noted that this is a preview build, and not all players should expect an improved performance when running the game. It is recommended that players update their drivers before installing this update, but if difficulties are encountered disabling the DirectX 12 feature can be done from the same menu in-game.
